Session 1 – May 4 | VectorSurv Overview Webinar
Join this introductory VectorSurv webinar to learn how the national platform supports vector-borne disease surveillance through data integration, standardization, and real-time decision-making. Ideal for public health and vector control professionals, this session provides a high-level overview of tools that enhance collaboration and improve surveillance workflows.
Personnel in cities and municipalities will receive training and education on vector abatement for mosquitoes, trap use, ticks, surveillance, fleas and bugs, virus testing, control tactics, and mosquito control. This 5-hour program will support recertification needs and will be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Register for the South Fort Walton Mosquito IPM Workshop on May 5–6 for a hands-on introduction to mosquito biology, identification, and control. This 1.5-day training covers mosquito-borne diseases, larval ID, specimen preservation, species diagnostics, mosquito ecology, and integrated pest management. Hosted by Gulf South VECTOR and partners, space is limited to 30 participants.
