2026 Pesticide Applicator Training for Public Health – Houston

This training supports those seeking certification as noncommercial political subdivision pesticide applicators responsible for mosquito control in Texas.

The program topic areas listed below correspond to federal and state laws and regulations mandated by the licensing authority.

  • Environmental concerns

  • Principles of safety
    and other topics as necessary to prepare participants for state licensing exams.

 

Tentative Schedule:

  • Day 1 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
    General pesticide information, laws and regs, and equipment usage
  • Day 2 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
    Mosquitoes, flies, and rodents
  • Day 3 – 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
    Testing

 

Event Details:

  • Registration includes breakfast and lunch for Days 1 and 2 only.
  • Manuals and all preparation for testing will be provided.
  • Attendance is mandatory both days.
  • Attendees must work for a political subdivision of the state of Texas or a federal agency operating in Texas.
