The Gulf South VECTOR Outbreak Investigation Exercise is a 2-day event in New Orleans focused on public health preparedness and vector-borne disease control. It will feature local experts and collaborative training.
This event, organized by Gulf South VECTOR, LSU Health New Orleans, and the City of New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board, is designed to simulate and strengthen outbreak response capabilities across the Gulf South region.  This exercise is part of a broader initiative to enhance regional resilience against diseases like West Nile virus, Eastern equine encephalitis, and dengue. It provides training in coordinated response strategies.
