NOLA BugFest 2026 returns on Saturday, October 10, 2026, for a full day of free, family-friendly fun celebrating the fascinating world of insects, spiders, wildlife, and science. Hosted by the New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board, BugFest brings together entomologists, educators, conservation organizations, and community partners for an interactive festival designed to inspire curiosity about the natural world.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy hands-on exhibits, live insect and wildlife encounters, educational demonstrations, bug-themed games and crafts, microscope activities, insect identification, and opportunities to meet scientists working in vector control, entomology, and environmental education. Whether you’re fascinated by pollinators, creepy crawlies, or backyard biodiversity, NOLA BugFest offers something for everyone.
