Join mosquito control professionals for a two-day, hands-on training workshop focused on mosquito surveillance, identification, and field operations. Hosted by the Puerto Rico Vector Control Unit (PRVCU), the Tropical Island Training & Evaluation Center (TITEC), and the Mosquito BEACONS Working Group, this workshop provides practical instruction designed to strengthen vector surveillance and control capacity.
Participants will receive training in a variety of essential topics, including:
- Home inspections and mosquito control equipment
- Mosquito surveillance tools and techniques
- QGIS applications for vector surveillance
- Mosquito sample preservation
- Larval mosquito identification
- Adult mosquito identification
- Invasive mosquito identification
Enrollment is limited to 30 participants to ensure an interactive learning experience.
