Evolving Tools for Bed Bug Control: Technology, Treatment, and Sustainability

February 17 | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

As bed bug challenges evolve, so do the tools and technologies used to manage them. In this webinar, Dr. Aaron Ashbrook, Assistant Professor of Urban/Peri-Urban Entomology at Louisiana State University, will explore the latest advances in bed bug control, including new insecticides, detection methods, and integrated management strategies. We will also discuss the environmental implications of infestations and control measures, and how effective management can reduce contamination risks and improve outcomes across different settings. The presentation will highlight practical considerations for selecting and implementing these tools in real-world environments, from residential properties to commercial and public facilities. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how emerging technologies and evidence-based practices can enhance program efficiency and long-term success.
