Advanced Mosquito Identification Course

November 18 - November 19

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, City of New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board, and Mosquito BEACONS, as part of the Gulf South VECTOR, are hosting an Advanced Mosquito Identification Workshop.  This course is a one-and-a-half-day event offering a comprehensive overview of mosquito biology, vector-borne diseases, QGIS for mapping, operational integrated mosquito management, larval identification, common and invasive mosquito species of the Gulf South identification workshops via microscopy, and New World Screwworm, among other topics.

 

Course Schedule

  • Day 1 begins at 12:45 p.m.
  • Day 2 is from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Breakfast and lunch provided on day 2.
