In-depth vector education pertaining to issues current in the south United States and threats from beyond. The course mixes lectures and hands-on experiences and demonstrations to increase knowledge gained. Expert speakers are on hand to give the most current knowledge and information. Topics include:
- Vector-borne diseases;
- Mosquito identification;
- Surveillance techniques; and
- Integrated mosquito and tick management strategies.
Whether you are a health professional, researcher, or simply curious about these tiny creatures, this workshop provides valuable insights and practical knowledge. Class size is limited to 30 participants to enhance the learning experience. Breakfast and lunch provided all three days.
