SUMMARY:South Fort Walton Mosquito IPM Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A hands-on introduction to mosquito biology\, identification\, and control. Participants will be guided from foundational knowledge to practical field skills. \nOn the first day\, attendees explore core topics including: \n\nMosquito-borne diseases\nSpecimen preservation\nLarval identification\nHome-based control strategies\n\n  \nThe second day expands into species-level identification\, focusing on common Gulf South native and invasive mosquito species; supported by expert-led practicums that reinforce microscope and diagnostic skills. Sessions on mosquito bionomics and integrated pest management conclude the day. \nThis workshop is designed to help participants understand how mosquito behavior\, ecology\, and control methods interact in real-world scenarios. \nWorkshop Schedule: \n\nDay 1: 1:00 pm – 5:45 pm\nDay 2: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm\n\n  \nRegister soon!
