DESCRIPTION:This training supports those seeking certification as noncommercial political subdivision pesticide applicators responsible for mosquito control in Texas. \nThe program topic areas listed below correspond to federal and state laws and regulations mandated by the licensing authority. \n\nFederal laws\nState laws\nToxicology\nExposure\nResidues\nPesticide labels\nEnvironmental concerns\nPesticide formulations\nPrinciples of safety\nand other topics as necessary to prepare participants for state licensing exams.\n\n  \nTentative Schedule:\n\nDay 1 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm\nGeneral pesticide information\, laws and regs\, and equipment usage\nDay 2 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm\nMosquitoes\, flies\, and rodents\nDay 3 – 8:00 am – 12:00 pm\nTesting\n\n  \nEvent Details:\n\nRegistration includes breakfast and lunch for Days 1 and 2 only.\nManuals and all preparation for testing will be provided.\nAttendance is mandatory both days.\nAttendees must work for a political subdivision of the state of Texas or a federal agency operating in Texas.
