SUMMARY:Mosquito BEACONS Invasive Mosquito Management Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join mosquito control professionals for a two-day\, hands-on training workshop focused on mosquito surveillance\, identification\, and field operations. Hosted by the Puerto Rico Vector Control Unit (PRVCU)\, the Tropical Islands Training & Evaluation Center (TITEC)\, and the Mosquito BEACONS Working Group\, this workshop provides practical instruction designed to strengthen vector surveillance and control capacity. \nParticipants will receive training in a variety of essential topics\, including: \n\nHome inspections and mosquito control equipment\nMosquito surveillance tools and techniques\nQGIS applications for vector surveillance\nMosquito sample preservation\nLarval mosquito identification\nAdult mosquito identification\nInvasive mosquito identification\n\n  \nEnrollment is limited to 30 participants to ensure an interactive learning experience. \nRegistration is required. Additional information\, including registration details and workshop logistics\, will be provided to registered participants.
