SUMMARY:2025 Tick Academy
DESCRIPTION:The Tick Academy is a virtual conference open to anyone interested in ticks and tick-borne disease prevention\, including researchers\, educators\, students\, public health professionals\, pest control professionals\, public-space managers and citizen scientists interested in the opportunity to learn more about what they can do to stop the spread of ticks and tick-borne diseases in their communities.\n\nKeynote Speaker: Dr. Tom Mather\, University of Rhode Island \n\n\n\nAttendees may ask questions after each presentation and will learn about new developments and research in the tick world.\nSponsors will be able to present their products and services to attendees at a virtual tradeshow. Additional sponsorship information is available on the event website.\nStudents can share their research in virtual poster sessions\, where attendees and speakers can engage with cutting-edge studies and new researchers!\n\n\nIf you are a student interested in presenting as part of the virtual poster sessions or if you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the 2025 Tick Academy\, please contact Zack Sieb. \n\nEarly Bird Registration ($25.00 per day\, $50.00 for both days) ends August 31st! On September 1st\, rates go up to $35.00 per day\, or $60.00 for both days of the Tick Academy.
